One of the most important elements of industrial structure is geographic concentration. As in most studies related to regional development, spatial concentration and regional specialization are considered as two sides of a coin. This research aimed to analyze the patterns of regional specialization and geographic concentration of industries in the country in the period 1997–2011, to answer the question of whether between regional specialization and geographic concentration, there is a significant relationship. To achieve the goal of research, various techniques such as Gini coefficient and location quotient were taken into consideration. The results indicated that the average of spatial concentration during the studied period increased by 21 percent which means that the manufacturing industries tend to become geographically concentrated. However, it seems that this concentration in 2011 tended towards the provinces such as Khorasan, Yazd, and Khuzestan. Finally, the results showed that there is a direct relation between geographical concentration and regional specialization in Iran and the concentrated provinces have become specialized in concentrated industries as well. Thus, the division of space in some regions of Iran formed. تعیین جایگاه مناطق مختلف در تقسیم کار فضایی و شناخت ساختار صنعت در سطح کشور اهمیت ویژه‌ای دارد. یکی از مهم‌ترین عناصر ساختار صنعت، تمرکز جغرافیایی است. با توجه به اینکه در بیشتر مطالعات مربوط به توسعة منطقه‌ای، موضوع تمرکز جغرافیایی و تخصصی‌شدن منطقه‌ای صنایع همواره در کنار هم مطرح شده‌اند، هدف این مقاله نیز تحلیل نقش تمرکز فضایی صنایع و تخصصی‌شدن منطقه‌ای در شکل‌گیری تقسیم کار فضایی در ایران در بازة زمانی 1390 –1376 است. روش پژوهش کمّی و رویکرد آن توصیفی- تحلیلی است. برای دستیابی به هدف، روش‌های تحلیل کمّی شامل ضریب جینی تمرکز، ضریب جینی تخصصی‌شدن و ضریب مکانی به کار رفته است. درنهایت با بهره‌گیری از ضریب پیرسون، همبستگی بین تخصصی‌شدن و تمرکز جغرافیایی در بخش‌های صنعتی مختلف ایران سنجیده شده است. نتایج یافته‌ها نشان می‌دهد متوسط تمرکز در دورة مدنظر 21 درصد افزایش یافته است که حاکی از گرایش صنایع به تمرکز جغرافیایی است؛ این تمرکز عمدتاً در استان‌های تهران، اصفهان و آذربایجان شرقی بوده است؛ اگرچه در پایان دوره به سمت استان‌هایی مانند خراسان، یزد و خوزستان نیز گرایش یافته است؛ همچنین نتایج یافته‌های این پژوهش نشان می‌دهد بین تخصصی‌شدن منطقه‌ای و تمرکز جغرافیایی صنعت در ایران رابطة معنا‌داری وجود دارد و استان‌های با تمرکز جغرافیایی بیشتر تخصصی هم شده‌اند؛ از این رو تقسیم کار فضایی در بعضی مناطق ایران شکل گرفته است. https://gep.ui.ac.ir/article_22974_d9acfca3ffec076ed23c437b1e1e4213.pdf
